Program your lights to turn on automatically at specific times with the Aube 7-Day, 2400W Timer, an attractive high-capacity programmable timer that works with motors as well as all types of lighting, including electronic ballasts, compact fluorescent lights and tungsten lights up to 5A. Unlike standard programmable timers, the 2400-watt Aube 7-Day Timer can be used to control any lights or appliances up to 20 amps. A Decora-style wall plate is not included. Easily record up to seven separate on and off sequences, which can be programmed daily or weekly. Need to find something quickly late at night? No problem: The Aube 7-Day, 2400W Timer offers a manual override, which enables the load to be turned on and off without affecting the programming. Programs are protected against a power failure by a pre-installed rechargeable battery. Comment: Had no trouble installing.It did fit into my original switchbox.My trouble is in the programming.The display is LCD, not backlit and small.Does it work? I might not ever know.

Comment: This product works as advertised. I checked out the Aube web site, and it provides all the product documents and details to ensure you get the correct one for your application. I really appreciate companies that make their product documents available so you can read the installation guide before your purchase. Returning items is just a big hassle. Read the directions and installation will be as simple as installing a normal light switch. Programming the device is easy and intuitive.

Comment: Unit is fairly easy to program. Switch amp rating is enough to power a portable electric heater, or a car headbolt/freeze-plug heater. I wish the display were back lit and the display had larger print -- a flash light is a must when programming. Don't forget to program the day of the week for the "Off" time, too!

Summary: Easy to Program and Works as Described
Comment: I installed this controller to operate an in-wall Broan heater. I use it to pre-heat the bathroom in the morning. Works like a charm. I preset the thermostat on the heater and let the Aube programmable timer turn it on and off so the bathroom is toasty warm when I get up. It was very easy to program and set the time. Display is small and hard to read in dim light, but considering the size of the unit it was to be expected. You can easily over-ride the timer by just pressing the front. One quick press activates the heater or turns it off but the timer is still functioning. Press it longer toggles it between timed operation and manual only operation. One thing, the switch is big with heavy duty wiring to handle the load rating. It likely will not fit in a standard depth switch box. I had to swap the box to a deeper model to fit the switch and wiring.
