Summary: Excellent Bearings for the Price
Comment: I bought a Razor A5 Lux Scooter mainly as a short distance commuting tool and I replaced the bearings with these. I can tell an immediate improvement in the smoothness of the glide as well as an improvement in the distance traveled with a single kick. This is a must have upgrade if you buy a Razor A5 Lux.

Summary: I can really see a big improvement
Comment: I replaced the stock ABEC 5 bearings on my Razor A5 with the Bones Reds I bought on Amazon just to see if it would really make any difference. To make a long story short, they are amazing! There is virtually no rolling resistance. They are so smooth and glide much longer than the stock ABEC 5 bearings. I am replacing the bearings on all the scooters I have with Bones Reds. They are so inexpensive as well.
If you are wondering which Bones bearings to buy, buy the Bones Reds if you have no intention of spending the time to clean your bearings regularly. Cleaning Bearings does take some time, costs money, and it is messy. I think spending 12 bucks a year replacing your bearings is just more reasonable. I will probably change mine every 6 months so that I always have a fresh set. Since my Razor A5 scooter only uses 4 bearings, I will spend only 12 bucks a year. In reality, there is very little difference in performance between the Reds and the Swiss.
But if you don't mind cleaning bearings, spending a lot more money, or you compete, then buy the Bones Swiss or Ceramics. The more expensive Bearings are really for competition where every ounce of speed must be utilized.

Summary: Great bearing for the price
Comment: I am an engineer. I was going to buy my kid bearings from my company's regular bearing supplier, but these were just as cheap, and they are very, very good--especially for the price. My son noticed an immediate improvement over his ABEC5 bearings (which were also pretty decent bearings). However, the bearing pack should really come with bearing spacers. If they did, I would have given them a five.
But even without the spacers, I can't imagine finding a better bearing for the price. At the price Amazon is selling these bearings for, this is what you would call a "bargain". In fact, I am going to buy another set for the skate-park board I am building my son for Christmas.
