Summary: Great Lock
Comment: I researched different locks. Though this one is large and quite heavy, it is a great lock. So far, so good. I throw it in my backpack or basket when I am riding and it is long enough to loop around lampposts and through my tire and frame of my bike. They provide many, many keys as well.

Comment: If nothing else, this lock is a definate deterrent to would be bike thieves! The thing is pretty heavy and quite formidable looking. The company includes 5 keys, one of which has a LED light. I have dinged the lock one star due to it's weight and stiffness. They really need to include some sort of carrying system as it's quite difficult to wrap on your seat post (stiff). I do recommend this system for anyone in a theft problem area and/or rural areas, who need good security.

Comment: This lock is very sturdy, the end case has not cracked in normal use, 5 included keys are plenty. It's still new and the 3/4-inch thick cable is stiff and somewhat heavy so it's difficult to carry around but I think the better security is worth the hassle. The 3-foot length is a compromise suitable for bikes and maybe even scooters but it is likely impossible to lock both wheels with only 3 feet. I've had no trouble with jammed keys of the new design. Also the big plastic heads are easily cut down to be the smallest on my ring.

Comment: I bought this product because I have gone green and bike to the train station. I lock up my bike easily with this strong and easy chain.

Summary: Great lock, backed by solid support
Comment: I have had a Rottweiler lock for over five years now, and will agree with the two reviews above mine - this is a fantastic, well-made lock (albeit heavy). I haven't ever wanted for a frame carrier - I usually sling it over my shoulder or in my bike bag.
I park my bike outside year-round, and three years of that got to wear on my lock - it was pretty hard to get the key in (as the reviewer above noted). I have since found out (via product documentation :-/ ) that a few drops of oil in the key slot cures this, but the first time I called the company.
Three years of New York winters, I was prepared for "get a new lock". Instead they said "our new locks are better at handling this - we'll send you one free".
That was two years ago. I recommend these locks to everyone, and nobody's complained (or had to call the company). But good to know they are so responsive if you do!
