Customer Rating: Summary: Does what it says on the box Comment: Great set of toeclips for the commuter or casual rider, that keep your foot correctly placed on the pedal for the most efficient action. Certainly uphill peddling is made a little easier, as the rider can give a little pull to the pedal on the upstroke as well as a good non-slip push on the down. You serious mountain bikers may want something more "robust".
Plenty of hardware for fitting, though some stock pedals may not have the correct holes in them, (to me that's the fault of cheap stock pedals, not the fault of this product).
Easy to slip in and out of, so no problems at traffic lights.
Recommended.
Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent Comment: A nice addition for almost any casual/intermediate bicyclist. Forget the straps, these are stiff enough to allow a lot of power to the pedals.
Customer Rating: Summary: Exactly what they look like Comment: Less secure then Toe Clips with straps, but cheaper and easier to get in and out of. Really helps in positioning the foot, and provides some return on the up-stroke of the peddle. If what you are doing is quick trips where mounting and dismounting the bicycle occurs often, then these are for you. If you are starting to stretch out your distance, then perhaps Toe Clips with straps (or even clip-less peddles) are right for you (but be prepared to pay more for those options).
Customer Rating: Summary: Kinda tight for my size 11 foot Comment: These work well enough as described, but they were kind of tight for my size 11 foot in running sneakers. My toes felt cramped and it didn't feel like the ball of my foot was on the pedal.
If I had a smaller foot these would be fine. I have used similar toe clips with straps in the past, but I liked this better because there was no strap to adjust.
Customer Rating: Summary: Nice product...good price. Comment: I found this toe clip to be a nice transition from flat pedals to clipless pedals. I have clipless pedals, but am not fond of wearing them when I'm out in any kind of traffic. I found these strapless toe clip easy to use (foot entry and exit when starting/stopping), easy to install and an all around good value. I felt safer in these than having my foot locked to the pedal. Personally, I think these work as well as the full strap toe clips, but are a LOT easier to get into when riding.
