Summary: Daylite & Billings, Great Software for Professionals in any Field
Comment: I having been using Daylite and Billings for little over a month now and I wander how my business functioned without them. I run a Land Surveying firm and can now see the entire extent of my business in a few clicks.

Who are the persons involved in that job,
How much is owed and how much is already paid.
Where am I working this Week, Month, Day?
Answers that I could not easily answer before Daylite and Billings. No need to search through cabinet folders to get these answers. Just click the job in Daylite.
Yes, there are a few things missing and a few things that I would like to see put in but I cannot condemn all the good for a few things that are missing. I am sure those things will come in in an update or new version.
If you devote time to enter your business in Daylite and configure it exactly to your personal needs and tastes (which you can do quite easily) you are then on easy street with Daylite and Billings.
And NO. I had no trouble at all installing either on my Imac. I did not find the learning curve to be steep since in this short space of time all aspects of my business are fully integrated into Daylite and Billings.
I have recommended them to other persons that own macs.

Comment: I really don't know if the tech support for this product could be any worse. It's more like a tech gauntlet. I don't want to be spending my time e-mailing back and forth over periods of weeks. Productivity tools are only an advantage if they improve your productivity. This company does not take customer service seriously.
The software has promise but the company lacks focus on its customers.

Summary: At last!
Comment: After years of trying to find software to integrate contacts, pipeline information, meetings, reminders for follow-up, and projects, a friend told me about Daylite. After some frustration and struggle getting it loaded and fully operational with the mail integration add-on, it's working great. For people like me (not anywhere near a "techie"), it would make a huge difference to have some tutorials covering the basics. The mail integration piece is essential if you want a fully integrated CRM system. It's not perfect, but it's a far cry from using EXCEL and the calendar to try to keep track of clients and prospects.

Summary: Overkill if you are not sharing your data with others
Comment: I've been using DL3 for half a year in a one-man-business setting. It is powerful, inter-linking contacts and notes and appointments, pipeline, activity set, server database, huge posibilites. But I found myself always clicking around too much to find my stuff, instead of actually working....
Might work perfectly if you are working in a sales team.

Comment: i saved quite a bit($89) ordering this from amazon as opposed to the market circle online store. market circle charges $10 extra for a retail package, so for what i received by ordering this item, i actually saved $100.
