Comment: This cleanser is overpriced and does nothing for my oily skin. I'm a skincare junkie so i've been around from high end to low end and this is no different than a neutrogena or clean and clear cleanser. If u want good products switch to dermalogica.

Comment: I find myself having the same results using a $6 discount store brand. If you're into overpriced soap then that's up to you. I can see the appeal for people with sensitivity to scented products though.

Comment: I ordered this item and before I even placed the order I updated my address and everything and reset all of my information to my new residence. The seller still sent the item to the wrong address and I paid $21 and only got a $15 refund.

Summary: Clinique is clearing up my problems!
Comment: I bought this after several years of just using combinations of cheap over-the-counter drugstore products. I tried Neutrogena, Cetaphil, St.Ives, Clearasil, Clean & Clear, Noxema, Ponds, etc. You name it, I tried it. I then went to ProActiv, and it worked for a while but didn't deliver consistent results at controlling my breakouts and oily skin. A friend of mine has always had beautiful skin so I tried Clinique based on her recommendation.
I don't know why I never tried Clinique's soap before. If only I could go back in time to when I first started washing my face, I would have started with this product line and that would have been it. Clinique's Liquid Facial Soap works very well, and I get consistent results. I have normal/combination skin so I use the OILY formula, and I was afraid when I first tried this that it would dry out my skin or break me out worse, but it didn't do any of that. I don't use the clarifying lotion, but I do use the Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel, and both of these products together leave my skin feeling cool and soft and not oily or dry at all. I get the perfect amount of moisture, and I don't wake up with a layer of oil on my face anymore. Also, my make-up stays on better now because my skin doesn't get as oily throughout the day anymore. And because my skin isn't as oily overall, I break out less. If I do break out, though, I use Clinique Acne Solutions Emergency Gel-Lotion on my spots and then follow that with the moisturizing gel. I know I can count on Clinique to get rid of my problems quickly now, and that is such a relief for me and my skin.
This face wash has really improved the look and feel of my skin. I especially like that this foams up so well when I'm using it, and the cool feeling I get from the menthol makes my face feel especially clean. One other great thing about this soap is the pump on the bottle. The pump dispenses just the right amount for one wash and also locks in place for those times when you need to travel with it. I only gave it four stars because it doesn't remove eye make-up completely. I still have to prep with eye make-up remover before I wash my face. If Clinique could make this face wash take care of that issue, too, then it would be perfect.

Comment: This product cleans very well. No matter how oily/dirty your face feels, it feels squicky clean after you use this.
However, this is very drying, since it feels like it basically took off the top oil layer that the skin usually have. I have dry cheeks and very oily T-zone, and found the moisturizer (step 3, dramatically moisturizing gel) to be too dry after the cleanser.
This cleanses very very well, but unless you have super oily skin, you might need a heavier moisturizer, or switch to skin type II toner.
