Customer Rating: Summary: Easy for kids to use! Comment: I bought this for my boys to help with their braces. At bedtime I do an inspection of their teeth, and they look a lot better now that they are using this Water Pik. They had no trouble learning to use it, either.
Customer Rating: Summary: WaterPik review Comment: The WaterPik works as advertised. With the special orthodontic pik it cleans hard to reach areas under braces for adults, something you cannot achieve either with flossing or with the sonicare electric toothbrush.
Customer Rating: Summary: Works great Comment: I have used dental irrigators for > 20 years. This model works great. Highly recommended.
Customer Rating: Summary: Very exciting :-) Comment: My dentist was recently complaining about my dental pockets, blah, blah, blah, so I decided I should probably do more than brush twice a day. Flossing has never been an exciting option for me, so after checking on other possibilities, I chose the Waterpik. My parents had one ages ago and I remember it as an 'adventure' :-) Water, water, everywhere.
Not much has changed overall. The Waterpik still cleans your teeth (and sometimes your walls!) and in between more effectively than any other option. Sure, the Sonic toothbrushes try to clean under the gum line, but none come close to the ability of the Waterpik to do the job.
One big concern in the past has been keeping the unit itself clean. I just drop a tablet of Potable Aqua (also from Amazon.com) in the tank before starting to not only keep the tank, hose, and tip clean but to remove the bacteria and viruses from my teeth as well. You can buy similar chlorine dioxide solutions as a mouth rinse from Smartmouth, Therabreath, etc. or purchase the less expensive option from Potable Aqua.
Overall, highly recommended. And, amusing as well :-)
Customer Rating: Summary: Good but... Comment: if you have not a power outlet in your bathroom first you have to install one and after take care about safety against voltage. In rest it's good and very useful
