Spotlight customer reviews: Customer Rating: Summary: Trouble after 1 1/2 months Comment: I decided to buy JBuds about a month and a half ago, in order to block out my roommate as she practiced her oral and aural skills. They did a decent job at keeping out all of her mid-range singing, especially if I turned up the volume fairly high (of course). I didn't, however, need to up the volume in order to get fair quality sound. In fact, with my Jbuds I can hear my music with pretty good definition at low volumes, which is nice now that my roommate has moved out and things are quieter. Unfortunately, I'm suddenly having problems with the point where the cord meets the plug, and can only use these headphones when the cord is in a particular orientation and I'm not moving. Although I'm a bit clumsy, and can be a little rough on my headphones, I don't recall doing anything recently that could have caused this, nor have I ever had a pair of headphones that had such a weak cord. Hopefully I can contact the company and maybe get another pair. I just got my iPod fixed a few days ago (which broke right after I got these headphones), so it'd be rather problematic not to have working headphones to go with my now working iPod. Customer Rating: Summary: Nice sound, good for the price Comment: I've bought a few pairs of these headphones. I really like the sound. I especially like that there is an L-shaped arm on the end that you insert into the mp3 player, so that the cord doesn't stick directly out. My first pair of these eventually went bad at that L-shaped arm, though, losing sound unless you held the cord a certain way. Now I know not to wrap the headphones tightly around the mp3 player so as to not damage the connection at the L-shaped arm. My second pair is holding up very well. Customer Rating: Summary: Short Life Comment: Bought 4 pair. WHen they work they sound pretty good. But they each started losing sound out of one ear after about 4 weeks of use. Then eventually out of the other ear. Could jiggle the cord and get sporatic sound. Wires must shear easily causing a short.
