Its never faild me once, always sharp, always at the ready. Ive used this hatchet for just about everyhing you can do out in the wilderness: chop wood, use it with a pice of flint to make fire, and even as a climbing axe. Overall this little honey can handle everything you throw at it... The knife is a nice feature, but do not make it your only knife, the magnet that holds in the knife isnt to strong, and i have had the knife fall out 2 times when i was jumping over a creek. overall, its a good product at a good price. It's a great little back pack axe and both hold a really nice edge. I walked around the woods all hunting season and never lost the knife. The gator grip makes it 100% better when conditions are wet.
