Summary: Good pad to keep heat off you but not 'cooling'
Comment: I had bought the 'cooling pad' before with the fan but wanted to try this notebook stand out because I felt it might've been more easy on the legs.
It doesn't 'cool' the laptop which is concerning since I do use it for hours on end between streaming videos & surfing the web doing research.
I haven't used it much since I have a 17" Dell and it is quite a beast and this does seem made for more of a fit for 15"

Summary: Most underestimated accessory for a laptop
Comment: This may be the most underestimated accessory for a laptop. Ever since I discovered the CushTop, I cannot imagine using my laptop without it. Forget all those USB powered cooling systems. They are not nearly as convenient as this one on your lap.
It is a simple product with high quality materials and finish and is very light on the lap.
It may be a little difficult to carry around everywhere you go with a laptop like office meetings, presentations etc, but then you don't place your laptop on your lap in those situations. Otherwise, I'm pretty sure almost everyone has enough space to carry this in their luggage, vehicle etc.

Comment: Works great for laptop, but for the new mini netbooks that tend to get hot, it doesn't allow the air to circulate. So...my husband uses it for his PC and it is super comfortable.

Comment: I was concerned about this product because I'm 5'3" with short legs. I half expected to be sending this back because it would hang over my knees and/or put the laptop up so high on my chest I wouldn't be able to work with it.
To my surprise it fits me very well. It does just fit to edge of my knees but I don't feel like it will flip off. Typing height is good. My husband is 6' tall with long legs and he said it's also comfortable for him. This thing is nothing fancy but it does exactly what I need it to do. We use it with the widest side face up because my laptop is 16".
My rating is strictly based on confortable positioning for both short and tall people. I can't address the cooling factor because my new laptop doesn't get hot. Also, I don't use the cubby slot in the middle. It doesn't look to me like you can fit much in there though.
Another plus is the portability factor. It's very lightweight and not as cumbersome as you'd think. We use it for sitting on a recliner, couch, or bed.
