Editorial Reviews:

This lightweight, fast-absorbing lotion for the hair is made with an essential oil of lemon grass to stimulate natural oil production and hydrate strands. With a hint of lily of the valley fragrance and a rich base of oils, shea butter, cocoa butter and vitamin C, Hair Milk is ideal to define natural curls, leaving you with hair that is shiny and bouncy.

Summary: Pretty good moisturizer
Comment: This product is moisturizing, but I have very dry hair so it didn't last throughout the day. I don't believe the smell is overpowering, but some people may not like it. It's kind of a woodsy scent. I prefer the Hair Elixir and Hair Balm.

Summary: Not as good as it used to be!
Comment: I was once a customer of Carol's Daughter original customer base before they went commercial and changed the formula on most of their products. I'm sorry to say, although it smells good and is somewhat adequate, it just isnt the same. After the last couple of purchases of my all time favorites I stopped buying Carol's Daughter because the formula was just too far from the original. Also, they no longer list the ingredients on their products. I really like this brand and hope they will reconsider changing the formulas back on some of their products.

Summary: I love this product!
Comment: I have fine, "white girl" hair that tends to get frizzy, with tight little curls around my face. I received a sample of the hair milk at Sephora and fell head over heal in love with this product. I love that it is a natural product and the lemongrass smell is so soothing without smelling like a synthetic purfume. I just use a little bit and scrunch.

Summary: its the best hair lotion i've used thusfar
Comment: It will make your hair feel like silk. I've used it on my hair on the nape of my hair line where it is dry and it created softness. used it on my niece's natural hair and it makes it manageable, soft, and fresh. One of the keys to healthy hair is using a good conditioner and detangler and this is the one product that would work for most hair. if hair is relaxed it will just take a little bit to add luster.

Summary: There Are Better Hair Milks....
Comment: I think what people need to know is that CD is not the end all be all natural product for our hair. I have natural 4a hair and was not amazed by this product not the Black vanilla smoothie. This hair milk wasn't terrible like many people say, but I wasn't a fan of the scent of the product and felt that it performed like a regular hair lotion. I was slightly disappointed. Like most of the black women on here, i wanted to support a black sista business but this as well as the Black Vanilla product just didn't cut it. Also, is it just me, or is Carol's Daughter reusing the SAME ingredients in every product? Take a look at the ingredient list, every products ingredients consists of the exact same thing, so we are basically paying for the same products all over again. That right there sort of puts me off, not to say that she can't do it but dang if I'm spending $19 on a product I would hope that the ingredients were a little different. :(

Hair Milk: Water, Soy Bean Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Vegetable Emulsifying Wax, Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, Apricot Kernel Oil, Beeswax, Essential Oil Or Lemongrass, Fragrance, Jojoba Oil, Wheat Germ Oil, Vitamin C, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Bicarbonate, Phenoxyethanol, Tetradibutyl Pentaerithrityl, Hydroxyhydrocinnamate. Paraben-Free.

Hair Butter: Water, Soybean Oil, Corn Oil, Beeswax, Shea Butter, Sweet Almon Oil, Cocoa Butter, Jojoba Seed Oil, Wheat Germ Oil, Sandalwood Fragrance, Essential Oils Of Sweet Orange, Lavender, Ylang-Ylang, Rosemary, Lemongrass, Patchouli, And Cedarwood, Vitamin C, Xantham Gum, And Potassium Sorbate.

Basically the SAME ingredients repackaged and sold in a different container. Want a better and cheaper hair milk that's natural? Try Mineral Indulgence's Olive & Coconut Milk, Kiwi Coconut Hair Smoothie or their Pure & Natural Detangler. MUCH more moisturizing, natural, and with better quality ingredients. Plus the scents are more pleasant and aren't overbearing.

I had really hoped CD would have performed better on my hair, for anyone who is looking for an alternative, please bare in mind that there are plenty.
