Comment: I purchased this because I had mice in my kitchen. I set it up using a small dab of peanut butter. The first night it caught a mouse. A couple nights later it caught another mouse. Then it stopped working. The setting mechanism no longer works. When I try to set it, it won't lock in place any more. So, it caught 2 mice and then became junk. However, it was easy to dispose of the mice once caught. I like the item, but wish it had lasted a little longer. Customer Rating: Summary: D-Con Built a Better Mousetrap! Comment: I've had these mice problems on and off and with little help from the landlord I took matters into my own hands and got these traps. The glue traps are disgusting as the little b*stard struggles. I wanted something that would kill them dead. "It's dead, Jim!" The trap is easy to set but be sure to set the right kind of bait inside the trap. Some people writing one star reviews clearly were not putting in the right bait. If cookies are being eaten in your kitchen, the little b*stard will be looking for more of the same, not peanut butter. I did the peanut butter (which is what d-Con recommends on the box), let the trap sit for several days and got one. I suggest buying these in bulk. Field mice spread disease, so it's a good idea to kill them. Other pest killers I've tried (though not necessarily these brands): Black & Decker EX410-2P-TP1 Ultrasonic Pest Repeller, Medium Room Tomcat Mice Glue Board, 4 Pk Customer Rating: Summary: Works Great Comment: I tried alot of other mouse traps on the market, they were to be used only once and thrown away. Designed to trap and then hold inside until death. This trap is reusable and kills instantly. All you have to do pull back the metal arm and the mouse falls out of the trap so you never have to touch it. Then put new bait and reset. This trap really works great Customer Rating: Summary: It so, totally, did not work. Comment: I bought this product because I had a mouse in the house. Three days later, after baiting and setting this trap I STILL had a mouse in my house. I tried different bait but the mouse never fell for it. I ended up buying a snap-trap. UGH! I hate those things but at least they WORK!
