Customer Rating: Summary: Ouch! Comment: Ads say that this is not supposed to hurt but it does! Not as badly as waxing but still...... Does not get all the hair even after several sweeps. Leaves a sticky residue and is a pain to apply. I say skip it and have a professional wax you or stick to shaving. This is definitely not worth the money I paid!
Customer Rating: Summary: Awesome! Comment: I started using Nads on my bikini line when it became available in drug stores, having seen the TV commercials for it. I was so fed up with the raser bumps and ingrown hairs that developed from shaving that delicate area, and depilatories never worked for me, or burned my skin.
It took a little practice to get it applied thinly enough that it gripped the hair when pulled off, but with time I found that if I applied it in one area, and gave it a few seconds to warm with my skin temperature, then spread it, I could get it thin enough.
Yes, it hurts to pull hair out by the roots, but the pain is short-lived, and applies to all waxing/sugaring or otherwise hair-pulling...no pain, no gain. Even laser hair removal is painful, not to mention expensive and needing several treatments to remove all the hair, because hair grows in cycles...remove some, and more grows in, hair that was not exposed when you were treated, until you've treated all of them.
Like waxing, if the skin is not held tight while pulling the strips off, bruising can occur, but I have no more rasor bumps, and very few ingrown hairs, a problem I have long had to deal with in that area. And being hair-free in that area for 6-8 weeks at a time is absolutely amazing!!...no more daily abusing that area to get rid of hair.
I have not tried the strips that come with Nads already on them, as I have had poor results going the strip route with waxes, finding they seldom adher to my hairs enough to pull them all. I stick to the self-applied original, and love it.
The only down side I can find is that eventually it starts to crystalize, before I use the entire container up, because I'm only using it on a small area, not my entire legs (which I find just too time-consuming, and with my fine hair, I find over large areas, no wax or sugaring product removes all the hair, so I just stick to shaving there.) Once it starts to crystallize, it's useless, but I still find it worth the money.
I do miss the washable/reusable fabric strips that USED to come with it...I really wish I had kept mine, because now once the strips are used up, you have to buy more...although I haven't tried washing and re-using the new ones yet. I might try that, but as they seem more papery, I doubt they'll survive it.
Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent product!!! AAAAA+++++ I luv it! Comment: I love NADS hair remover! It's so much better than hot wax. I use it for underarms, legs and my private area. It's EXCELLENT! :)
Customer Rating: Summary: Temperature sensitive Comment: I used to use this all the time and it worked pretty well. You do have to pluck a bit after "nads-ing" to get the stray hairs it misses. One problem I had was that it was very temperature sensitive. If it got too cold it wouldn't work because the goo was too thick to spread on your legs. On the other hand, if it's too hot out, the goo will spread too thin to get the hairs. So, be warned. I gave up on it 'cause it took too long and I am impatient. But it did keep hair away MUCH longer than shaving and the hair growing back in does start to thin out with repeated use.
Customer Rating: Summary: can't rate zero Comment: hurts... and not a little hurt, and of course it leaves some of the most attractive little red HOLES in your legs. doesn't pull all the hair out just the hairs it wants to, and as for "reusing a strip" bull.... sure you can reuse it but it's not gonna do you anygood. save yourself money... and tears... and buy a razor.
