Comment: I bought my multi-base Milwaukee router from Amazon because my basic entry-level router doesn't have a 1/2 inch collet. I've used Porter-Cable and Bosch; this is every bit as good. To get this kind of quality at this price is amazing! It's what you'd expect to pay for a refurbished tool. I'm using both bases to trim out our dining room, having fun making parts I'd otherwise need to buy. The price is so good I'm wondering if somebody I know could use one for Christmas. Milwaukee is known for it's quality routers and just by looking at this one you get a lot for your money: The bases are very ergonomical they fit perfectly in your hands, the controls are right where you need them to be, the plunge router feels balanced not clumsy like others I've tried I just wish the spring on the plunge router was a litter softer, I haven't found an adjustment for this yet. The power is adequate for everyday use, If you rout Maple all day I would get a more powerful one. I like the portable size too you're not having to push around a behemoth router everywhere. I've had a Milwaukee router before and paid twice as much with only a regular base and no fine tune adjustments and I loved it. This router has way more going for it than the one I had. The value you get from Milwaukee is incredible. This tool is no exception. Easy to use, smooth, powerful, great quality feel and superior ergonomics. I own a DeWalt (made by black n decker) router also. I bought this Milwaukee because DeWalt does not make a plunge base for the router i was using... and they never responded to my email if they did. I didn't want to buy another router because i liked my DeWalt. Well this view point recieved an adjustment when i used this Milwaukee. By far the superior product. See... Milwaukee not only uses the best quality of materials in their products..they also put much thought into the ergonomics of their products. I am a physical therapist and have tested all brands of cordless product out there. Milwaukee is the best and only brand i will buy. Where Milwaukee uses aircraft alluminum DeWalt uses plastic and Porter cable uses metal. There is a reason why Milwaukee is the only tool manufacturer to issue 5 year warrenties on all their tools. Its confidence in what you make. You sure don't see DeWalt or any other tool manufacturer doing this. They are not confident beyond 1yr !
