Summary: Made a big difference ...
Comment: ... over the internal antenna in the Linksys WRT54GC, which did not come with an external one. The router always worked well at home as it was, but when I transplanted it to our office the signal didn't go very far. Adding this made a dramatic difference ... strong signal nearly everywhere in the building now. I don't know if replacing an existing external antenna would make a huge difference, but it's a terrific add-on for that router.

Comment: the antenna replaced the original antenna, note it was made recently as compared to similar products, keeping with technology.
the ASUS wi fi radio is a real classic item. In order to pull in Italy evenly, I needed a better antenna. The radio boasts it can broadcast 10.000 stations. Everything in the county competes for this air space, I think dividing and dividing the signal.
I replaced the old antenna with the +9dbi antenna reprogramed the radio, and then the house sounded like a Italian Music Box.

Summary: Meh...Sort of works
Comment: So my issue was that my computer is about 20 ft. from my router in my living room, and signal was only about 40% strong. I got this addition in the hopes that it would greatly improve over the small antenna that came with my wireless card. My signal's at about 50-60% now...so really...it's not that great of an improvement...

Summary: Does NOT improve anything
Comment: I cannot believe any of the positive reviews: I bought 2 sets of different brands of "WiFi booster" antennas (one claimed 9dbi, one 12 dbi) and neither pairs gave me any improvement. Actually THEY DID WORSE than my 2 small stock antennas of my TRENDNET 652 N router. My sincere advice: buy routers with 3 antennas and don't buy any of those "booster" antenna.
