It does not always register with the iPod and therefore the iPod is often left uncharged. Customer Rating: Summary: iPhone travel charger Comment: I recently went on a business trip and took the base and adapter for my iPhone to charge it, not realizing that I needed a 3rd piece, the cord. I can't tell you how frustrating it was to not be able to charge my phone, especially since my plane was delayed and diverted and I needed to call home several times as I watched my battery run down. I was afraid to use any of the entertaining portions of the iPhone because I wanted to save it for an emergency. As soon as I got home, I ordered the travel charger. It's only ONE piece of equipment that I need to bring to recharge the phone, and I know it will bring me piece of mind. I tested it at home and it works fine.
