Customer Rating: Summary: Still my fav choice Comment: With 9 I discovered how to get ahold of my tivo files and manage my devices. 10 has even more and it is still keep giving new programs. I've added an HD burner cause of the HD TV. 10 will burn the HD disks and even handle editing. I can do more with tivo files more easily. There are a few improvements to the video programs, most notably the overall color correction and soundtrack layer input. Putting music in the videos is much easier as this was just an ok feature in the last version. Audio capture now has a record prior to starting. Makes sense when you hear something you want but are late at clicking the capture button.
I did find a bit of trouble installing 10. Using Windows uninstall I removed 9, but 10 indicated that 9 was still there. I checked all the 9 programs and found one that was still there. Once I removed it 10 installed. I don't know if others had that problem but it was a simple fix.
Customer Rating: Summary: Overbuilt resource hog - AVOID THIS PRODUCT Comment: This program is enormous, and a terrible resource hog (strike one).
In addition, it modifies the computer's behavior, automatically setting itself to run various components at start-up (strike two), not to mention installing a "user account" (strike three).
When I inquired of their tech support why it requires its own user account, I got nothing but double-talk.
I do NOT like programs that tamper with my computer's settings and behavior. That is bad, bad business.
A complete waste of money.
Customer Rating: Summary: Roxio has the best suite, bar none Comment: I thought I'd try to save some money by gettin a bunch of new apps, lots of shareware types, even free ones. Unless you are a super tech guru I won't go down that path again. Each program had some quirks and targeted a few tasks. Who knows what's coming and when it comes you must find more programs to deal with it. It was better for me to stick to the roxio line and be assured of the quality and coverage. Media formats got difficult when I ran into people who didn't have certain media players, or I wanted them to run on the internet. So far there is no format I've used that easy media doesn't support. I play them, edit, and convert. Photos, music, video and the like. I can make flv files and the old standbys of mpeg and avi. My vacation photos are much better using various photosuite actions. I just went to Yosemite and have a lot of side-by-side pics. I can merge them with the panoramic tool. I could go on and on about the great tools. I'll stick to media suites and save the headache of gathering a lot of unrelated programs.
Customer Rating: Summary: I give up Comment: I had Roxio Suite 8 and Roxio Suite 9. I wouldn't think of buying 10. Many bugs. Tech Support used to be free. No reply to my latest problem but I noticed they will respond for $$. Buggy. Different programs don't play well together.
Customer Rating: Summary: Suspect help Comment: Roxio do not help people when they have problems.
I don't recommend dealing with this company.
