Two people lifted the china cabinet and didn't even need to use hands. It saves energy and can help clear a room in a fraction of the time. Our stairs have a 90degree turn, and the straps were meant for carrying in a straight line. We did have to drop the straps, carry the piece a few steps, and then re-strap. It was still a lot better than lifting the thing the whole way.
