When shopping online, you may have seen pictures or boxes that say "Not for Retail Sale" or "Mail Order Box". . . . What does this mean and why are there different types of boxes for the same product? There are 4 types of boxes: USA Retail - standard box found in any store meant to be sold to consumers. Mail Order - special box for mail order pharmacies to sell to consumers Health Plan - special box meant for health insurance companies to sell to consumers Professional - special box meant for healthcare professionals to sell to consumers DME - special box meant for durable medical equipment suppliers to sell to consumers . . . All of these boxes contain the EXACT same product, but carry different prices. The manufacturers make them look different and label them as "Not For Retail Sale" in an effort to scare consumers into buying the most expensive box. In our relentless mission to save you money, occasionally, we are able to source a Mail Order or Health Plan box that is cheaper than the regular retail box. When we do, we always pass this savings on to you. The manufacturers don't want us to sell cheaper boxes, but we feel differently. Summary: BEWARE of expiration date!
Comment: Test strips and meter fine, BUT --
I bought 100 test strips at retail DStore and date of expiration was only about 6 weeks out.
Much to my dismay, I discovered that Roche has now made code and strip totally useless at expiration. All you get is "E-5".
I am sure the strips would have been fine for a few more weeks.
Beware of this ripoff - exp date should be at LEAST as many days in future as number of stirps!

Comment: Strips are fine, however when I received them the expiration date was in 52 days. When I have purchased the same product from my local pharmacy I had close to 7months before the expiration date was up. So with this in mind I would not purchase more than a 30 day supply from them (Goodwill Industries).

Comment: I was very pleased with my order of test strips and lancets. Received them promptly. I made an error in the type of lancets I ordered and I called and they are sending me the correct kind in a few days. I am very happy to find these test strips are $30 less than I have been paying at Walgreens or Target.
