I have been a tampon user since I was 14 and have always preferred them to pads. I ordered them a few days ago and they came in the mail today, perfect timing because I started my period. I had no problem inserting it on the first try, I haven't had any leakage, and removing it was easy too!!! I think they are amazing! I am going to use them from now on. Customer Rating: Summary: Great alternative to the normal products Comment: I really like the product because you don't need to worry about it for 12 hours. It definitely works better than tampons. It is great for active life styles. This product is great if you don't mind the fact that it is disposable, and costs a little more than tampons. I do agree with the rest of the reviewers about making sure to read the instructions first, it is a must. The only problem that I had with this product was that removal was somewhat difficult a few times. Definitely change them a few times at home before trying to do it in a public restroom, just until you get the hang of it. And yes, washing your hands before and after changing them out is also a must. As far as them being hard/messy to dispose of . . . I dump them out into the toilet before wrapping them in tissue or the wrapper of the new one, which makes it no worse than a regular tampon/pad. Comment: I bought these because I couldn't find the organic cotton tampons I usually use, and I wasn't about to buy Tampax or something else full of chemicals. The Instead cup worked perfectly the first time. I'm never buying tampons again. A couple of things you may need to know are that, yes, you need to plan on not using a public washroom when you remove it. That seems pretty obvious if you ask me. They can be worn for up to twelve hours, so I see no reason not to wait for a proper restroom situation. Second, a few people have complained of leaks, and I wonder if it may be women who've had children. I know that a couple of the cups are sold in larger sizes, so the Instead might not be ideal for those people. Also, I think they can probably be washed in soapy water and reused a couple of times, although it doesn't say so on the box.
