Spotlight customer reviews: Customer Rating: Summary: Relieves My Occasional Insomnia Comment: I'm pretty skeptical of "all-natural" products generally, and often wary because they are not held to the same safety standard as synthetics. I've tried OTC and prescription sleep aids with little success in the past; they often had side effets, didn't work well, or left me with a hangover the next morning. I have GAD, so that has always been a contributing factor. I began using Alteril a year ago, and I probably use it two or three times a month. Each time it has worked well at the suggested dosage: I have an easier time going to sleep, I remain asleep, I sleep deeply, and I am not groggy or hungover the next morning. I do not, and would not, use a sleep aid more often than I currently do, so I cannot offer any insight on more regular use of this product. For those with occasional insomnia, I can say that my experience with Alteril has been wonderful. Customer Rating: Summary: Can't believe that it works!! Comment: I was reluctant to try this out but it was recommended to me by a friend who is in the Air Force and I know he has trouble sleeping so on a whim, I decided to try it out. I am amazed because this stuff actually works and I feel refreshed in the morning without all of the side effects. I've tried Simply Sleep, Tylenol PM, Lunesta (LOVE it! but can't afford it!) and Ambien (hallucinogenic wrecked havoc on my body! and left me with that 'hangover' feeling the next morning). This is gentle, and all natural. Best of all, I don't find it to be addicting and it works!!! I tried it in August and I only use it as needed or if I'm feeling tired and run down. I am a full time college student and do shift work at night so this is perfect on the nights when I need help to relax and sleep. Seriously, try it! Comment: I was hesitant to spend what I consider to be a fairly large amount of money on a prodcut I was skeptical about. But I found this actually works in helping me fall asleep and stay asleep for many hours. As far as I am concerned it's well worth the price. ON THE OTHER HAND, I have had a few frineds try it with mixed results. One buddy of mine told me it did absolutely nothing for him. My girlfriend, however, has had success as well. Comment: This product does not work for me at all, it kept me awake, and I had horrible GI problems (diarreha, nausea), and woke up with a horrible hangover-ish feeling. I have taken Melatonin with some success, and wanted to take myself off of Trazadone. Try something else, and DO NOT go through the actual company. They will rip you off. Customer Rating: Summary: Increased mood swings after taking it Comment: I thought that I loved the product after trying it and having great success for a few nights. Then I started having major anxiety and mood swings out of no where. I didn't immediately link it to Alteril, so I continued to take it. After about a week I started thinking about WHY I was experiencing such anxiety and moodiness. I stopped taking the Alteril just to see if that was it. After about three days, I felt like myself again. I don't know which ingredient affected me in that way, but I have no doubt that it was something in the Alteril. Use at your own risk
