Spotlight customer reviews: Customer Rating: Summary: A must-have for "heavy weights" Comment: If you are a "heavy weight" like I am, you MUST get a pair of these! It will save you from falling and embarrassing yourself trying to get up! I bought a pair of these last year and my job is in public service, so I am in and out of a vehicle all day and into the evening, and I can tell you that these saved my butt from falling and cracking my head. When you take a step with these on, be sure to complete the step, because you CANNOT half-step with these on. The only public places I found I had to take them off was on smooth concrete and entering into a store. Other than that, they will grip and keep you confident. And if you have a hard time with getting the straps on, they have STABILicers Sport which is like putting a rubber glove over your shoe. When the Sport is new, it's going to be tight, but it will give, just a little though, so be sure to get your size according to the chart. Don't get them a size bigger. When I use them I carry an extra set of shoes with me so that I can just slip the pair of shoes off that have the Stabilicers on, and slip on my other shoes for indoors. That way I don't have to get my hands dirty or icy. Get 'em, you will wonder why in the world you didn't get them sooner! P.S. These "screws" are so easy to replace - grap a bag of replacements too. Customer Rating: Summary: Steel cleats for walking on ice Comment: So far I am happy with the performance of my STABILicers steel cleats. However,they have had limited use thus far. I got them for long, hard use and hope that they will hold up for some time. Customer Rating: Summary: better than Yaktrax! Comment: These are the answer! My husband and I have sworn by Yaktrax for several winters, but this year we've had a lot of black ice, which is like walking on a ceramic tile floor, and the Yaktrax were worthless in such conditions. Stabilicers cut right into the ice, no slipping at all! I notice that our local mail deliverer wears them. If you live in Wisconsin, you learn what works to walk around without sliding, or else! Customer Rating: Summary: "Traction" Comment: This product gives the best traction of many products I have tried especially on ice even when we have light snow over the top. I lost a little stability because of the height. Also the sizing tends to be on the large side. That is unusual for a person generally short changed on size. I am 6'6", 250 lbs with a size 15 foot. A neighbor loaned me his L pair to try out. I was able to adjust it to work pretty well but when I ordered my own I went for the XXL to fit 15-16 size. The sole was right but the straps were too long. The velcro patches barely touch. They go past each other. I will have to alter the length. A shoe shop could readily do it. Fortunately I have an old Singer that will do it. I live in Montana on the side of the Bridger mountains where nothing is level and the roads stay snow packed, with ice underneath.After much search and use...these are tne best for the really rough situations. Customer Rating: Summary: SUPERB! Comment: These are the BEST anti slip products that Bob and I have found yet! We have a small icy farm and have to manuever with VERY large hounds through areas with critters the hounds would LOVE to hunt... these StableIcers have been LIFESAVERS! We bought 2 pairs and both really love them. The fit was perfect on each. They are STURDY! Last UPS delivery I showed them to our driver and suggested this be his next choice. We went for a hike through frozen wetlands with the hounds last weekend and made it over ice and thru mud with ease. NICE product, I WILL and HAVE recommended them.
