Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent! Comment: LaCie 301825U d2 Quadra 500 GB eSATA/FireWire800/FireWire400/ USB 2.0 External Hard Disk
I have an iMac G5 PPC. This external HD was highly recommended to me and since receiving it, it has worked flawlessly. I am extremely happy with it.
Customer Rating: Summary: So far so good Comment: I have had it for about 3 months and no problems yet..would definately recommend it..
Customer Rating: Summary: Pricey but does the trick... Comment: Great external hard drive. Small, good looking, not the cheapest but a good solid choice.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great external FireWire drive Comment: This is a great external drive for those who want the flexibility of FW400/800 and eSATA in one unit. It is fast and quiet- mine is on my desk right next to the Mac PowerBook that I use on a daily basis. Bundled s/w is very good and set up is a snap.
Customer Rating: Summary: Glitch Comment: While overall satisfied with the unit I have a glitch that is random in nature. Sometimes when I boot up the system gets hung up in the boot process and freezes. Solution is to unplug the unit and reboot wherein the computer fires up normally. I then replug the unit in and wait for it to happen randomly next time I turn on the system. I have found no reason or cause for this glitch.
