Spotlight customer reviews: Customer Rating: Summary: Very Handy and Solid Comment: When I was younger, I happily used 1-person gas powered auger with 8" and 10" bits. I no longer have the strength to operate that contraption. I purchased this which fits nicely into my 1/2" electric drill. Unlike some other heavily advertised "garden augers" this is a solid and substantial tool. I used it in both soft and hard soil conditions. Obviously, it worked harder and longer in rocky and soil with hard clay, but it got the job done.
