Summary: Great if you don't have ridiculous tree-trunk hairs...
Comment: I just want to start this review by saying that this product gets 4 stars because it was easy to use, worked great on the areas I was able to get done, and was overall not an unpleasant experience. However, I would also like to say that it was very stupid of me to try to do it myself for the first time I've ever been waxed.
I'm a hairy person, like a gorilla. And my hair is very thick, both in surface area and follicle circumference. And it grows in all sorts of weird directions. And the roots are so deep that if you pluck a hair a few mm long, when it's plucked it's usually 1/4in long.
I've never had a Brazilian wax, so I thought I'd just use a little of the wax to remove my leg hairs to get me started, which, while ridiculously thick, still are obviously not as bad as the bikini region. This wax worked fantastic on the fronts of my legs, where the hair all grew in one direction. I was getting it all off in one fell swoop. Unfortunately my calves have hair in 3 different directions within a very small area, and I couldn't for the life of me get almost any hair off. For the past few days, I've read reviews for all different kinds of waxing, watched videos, read articles, etc. to get myself to a point where I felt confident doing this, no problem, so it's not like I didn't read the directions or anything.
I think if I'd ever been waxed before, this product would work a lot better, but after almost 2 hours (it took me 2 hours just to find this stuff - it was sold out in every store I went to!), I had barely gotten the bottom half of one leg done, and I was so cranky I decided to stop trying and just book a waxing at a local spa. I'm saving what's left of the wax for when my hair grows back, in hopes that it won't be so thick and I'll be able to do it myself, but as far as I'm concerned, hairy girls, get it done by someone who knows what they're doing your first time!

Summary: Excellent results at a fraction of the cost of professional waxing!
Comment: After spending upwards of $60 per session having bikini waxes, I wanted to see if there was a product out there that I could use at home. I tried about five different brands without any success. I read the reviews of the Surgi Wax and decided to try it out (at this price, why not?). I was amazed at the ease of use and the excellent results I received. I'm going to order the three-pack after finishing this review.
A few tips, though:
1. Be sure to FIRMLY spread the wax onto the area you are working on. If you don't get to the bottom of the hair, you probably won't get it.
2. Use the oil that comes with the kit--it works extremely well!
3. Either order more application tools or invest in a reusable one--the two that come with the kit are small and flimsy. I ended up using a kitchen knife to apply mine. I soaked the knife in hot water after use and removed the residual wax then washed it in our dishwasher with success.
4. Don't leave the wax on for too long--you want it to be flexible, not hard. I found that the 30-second rule was perfect for my needs.
Great stuff at a great price! And...it didn't hurt more (or less) than at the salon! Granted, my hubby had to help with the parts that I couldn't reach, but he was more than happy to help out;)

Summary: Best Home Wax
Comment: I have used almost every home wax product available and this is hands down the best bikini wax. It removes the most hair and doesn't leave as much of a sticky residue as other waxes, especially those that use strips. I also use it for facial hair. Much less messy and painful, and the oil works well. Just be careful not to apply the wax to too large of an area where there is a lot of hair, or it will be difficult (and painful) to remove. I will not use any other home waxing product ever again.

Comment: This is the first and only product ive used when i decided to do my waxing at home. I live in NYC and ive spent anywhere from $40-$75 on a brazilian wax. I used it for the second time yesterday and it was wayyyyy better than the first time. It was easier and since i know what to expect, the process was faster. The first time i used it, it took me a while because it hurt and i was making a mess. The second time around, i felt more at ease and i hardly made a mess. the only thing i DONT like about this is that it doesnt come with a warmer, so i had to keep going to the microwave to heat it up when it got hard which was annoying. other than that, i plan on using this wax for a very long time!! ;)
