Only problem i have with this item is - it keep falling off from the phone if you move it a little and it wont charge. only way for me to use this is not to touch the phone at all. leave it there, still. Comment: this cord works just fine, i got it for my brand new iphone 3gs and it charges and syncs data perfectly. i don't have any issues with the performance of the cable, though some of these "retractable" spindles are a bit of a hassle if they don't wind properly. i won't blame the item for that, it's just the design. the cord itself is a little thin, not quite as thick as the apple brand, so just be easy with yanking it around and it should last just fine. my only complaint with this, the charger plug that fits the iphone is a little bulky. it has some button clasps to help it snap in place that you also push to release, which is fine, since i know it will be snugly plugged in, but it doesn't fit well while using a case on the phone. again, i don't think it fair to blame the product for this, as it would fit just fine without a case on the phone. since most of us are using a protective case though, just a heads up that it may not fit properly. i'm using a Switcheasy Capsule Rebel, and it does fit, though it doesn't quite snug into it like it should, but still charges and syncs just fine. for the price...is it really worth complaining? :) Customer Rating: Summary: What you get is not what you see Comment: I purchased an Otterbox case for my Iphone 3gs in order to protect my 300 dollar investment. The only downside of this beast is that the hole they have for plug is small and form fitting to the "Rounded" end of a sync cable. If you look at the picture for this item, you will see the Sync end is the rounded type. Doing a search for other cables show square ended plugs. What you get when you order these are the square ended plug. Well you can't plug a square peg into a round hole. I am returning these for being falsely advertised as what I actually need. They get 2 stars because I know they work if I go through the hassle of removing my phone from the case every single time I want to charge it. Customer Rating: Summary: Great!
