Editorial Reviews:

Sweet Almond Mint is the perfect balance of nourishing herbs and natural ingredients designed to hydrate and replenish hair that has been damaged due to shampoo and other harsh elements. May be used as often as necessary, it thoroughly cleanses hair and scalp without stripping them of their natural oils, providing it with added moisture, strength and sheen. www.chazdean.com

Summary: Wen cleansing Conditioner
Comment: I have tried hundreds of products for my hair. This is by far the best item I have ever used. They should sell this in the stores as it would sell like hotcakes! Once you try it your hooked. People comment on how silky my hair looks and it smells great. Easy to style. Wonderful product. You just have to try it!

Summary: Don't believe the hype
Comment: This product is not at all worth all the hype it is getting. I have ethnic hair and it did absolutely nothing for my hair. It did not feel any better than when I used regular shampoo. I am very surprised that so many hollywood stars are endorsing this products. Not worth the money in my opinion.

Summary: Smells great but...
Comment: I love the smell of the Sweet Almond Mint but it didn't work that well with my hair. After a couple of days of using it my hair was really greasy and lacked volume. When I tried to use other products it made my hair even worse. I've ended up using shampoo again and finally my hair is back to normal. Way too expensive for what it is!

Summary: smells nice
Comment: Not as effective as I thought it would be. But, smells great and is a good leave in conditioner.

Summary: Works really well!
Comment: I am very glad amazon offers Wen, like many other customers, since I HATE to be stuck in automatic reorders.

About 15 years ago I used to go to a natural hairdresser, who promoted not washing your hair everyday - and if really necessary, only wash it with actual shampoo every once in a while, other than that, there was a natural "wash gel" that was less harsh to your hair - and brush your hair every day with a natural bristle brush. This philosophy really worked well for my hair but unfortunately, we had to move and I had no more access to the fabulous products. I have to say that there is a transformation phase, when you are used to washing your hair every day, since your scalp is used to produce oil to protect your hair from drying out, every time you wash it, which means that you might end up with oily hair for while until your body realizes that it doesn't have to keep up the production anymore.

This really promoted healthy hair growth for me and I actually had new hair growing in that I didn't realize I lost before.

Now I finally found a product in Wen, that I can use just like the "wash gel" and only sometimes, when my hair gets "greasy" I wash with Aubrey's organics shampoo. I don't wash my hair everyday (my hair is curly but not to extreme - more like a very light perm-, medium thick, down to my bra line), I wash it 2 - 3 times a week with Wen and maybe 2 - 3 times a month with the shampoo. I brush my hair every day with the brush I mentioned and I have to say, it works for me. The shine is beautiful and the frizz at the ends is almost gone. I even think it grows faster. I only was at the hairdresser 3 times this year so far and it still looks very beautiful without too much damage. People notice the change in my hair - especially women.

I use about 5 - 6 pumps for each area (top, nape, both sides) and rub it into my scalp and hair really well until it feels "slippery". Then I leave it in until I am done showering and rinse it REALLY WELL. Like somebody else said: "When you feel you are done keep rinsing for another minute."

I started using the 16 oz bottle at the end of August and still have half the bottle left.
