Customer Rating: Summary: excellent! Comment: it's great that only one drop is needed, it's natural and my daughter doesn't even notice she's taking it!
Customer Rating: Summary: Easy to give to our daughter Comment: We are very happy with the product. Our daughter has no problem taking the drops and its easy to administer.
Customer Rating: Summary: Baby Likes But Doctor Not Sure Comment: I bought these after trying poly-vi-sol in attempts to get Vit. D for my breastfed baby. My baby hated poly-vi-sol and it was impossible to get her to take it. I bought these drops, and they were super easy...my baby never even noticed she was taking them. I really like them but my doctor was not convinced, as they are not FDA approved. Instead, I am now using Tri-vi-sol which only has 3 vitamins in it and tastes like cherry. My baby will take the Tri-vi-sol straight from the dropper. I would recommend that to nursing mothers until these drops get FDA approval.
Customer Rating: Summary: This product is long overdue! Babies will not spit it out! Comment: I am so glad Carlson made this product available. For years I've been recommending that parents supplement vitamin D for their infants and young children based on the incredible amount of research, and the fact that breastmilk does not provide enough vitamin D. The American Academy of Pediatrics just doubled the recommended amount for new babies to 400 iu per day. This product is the only one that gives that in a single unflavored drop. Babies will not spit this out! Most vitamin D liquids are flavored and the little ones don't like them, but this one has the full dose in a single drop which can be put on a pacifier or on mom's nipple while the infant nurses. For older children a drop can be put on a teething biscuit or a little piece of toast or on a spoonful of their food. It could not be easier to give your baby the vitamin D he or she needs! Thanks Carlson! Fabulous product!
Customer Rating: Summary: A must during cold/flu season Comment: My pediatrician was after me to give multivitamins to my twins because breastfed twins do not always get enough vitamin D. After having the horrid smelling vitamins spit back at me and the twins clothes stained, I quit. However, I recently read that vitamin D may play a major role in helping protect our child from flu. So I thought I would give these drops a try. For my daughter I put a drop on a pacifer and give it to her. For my son, I just let a drop fall in his mouth. Very easy to use.
