Summary: Jury is still out.
Comment: I've only used PSPPx2 Ultimate for a few weeks. I haven't tried the video half of the bundle yet. So, my comments need to be taken from the perspective of a relative greenie - FWIW. The program is relatively easy to use and has lots of neat features. Basic photo editing has been easy and fun with acceptable results. My initial complaints, however, are:
DISCLAIMER - I have not contacted Corel Support and maybe these issues are user induced but, IMHO, they are things that I would not have expected the program to do.
1. The program is quite slow - and before you bash my computer - I'm running the latest i7 processor with 6GB of Ram and 1.2TB of disk space. On really large files or big batch edits it runs slowly enough that things time out and freeze up.
2. It seems to have a propensity for demoting your color space. This is probably an attempt to remedy the slowness problem. For example, I opened a 9.8MB picture did some basic editing and it demoted it to 8-bit and saved it as a 1.9MB file. I set the compression as low as I could to get the quality as high as I could and I still ended up with a puny little file.
3. It doesn't like Nikon Raw (.NEF) files. If I convert a NEF file to JPEG in Capture NX, PSPPx2U won't open it. If I open the raw file in PPSPx2U and save it as a JPEG. Nothing will open it.
Again, there may be fixes for these issues that I haven't found yet but they are enough for me to mark the rating down to 3 stars if for no other reason than the frustration factor. In all fairness to Corel I'll be glad to update this review if I find there is a resolution to these issues.

Comment: this product did nothing for me dont waste your money its complicated no idea what they are talking about in the instructions, italso claims yo can add pix together which you cant, wat did i do with my copy..i threw it across the room and i will never buy another product from this rip off company

Comment: I have been using Photo shop since R7 and was suck on R8 for a very long time. Jumping to R12.5 I see a lot of changes, most are for the better.
Buying the bundle is a very good deal and I'm still getting comfortable with the video portion of the software. I have not seen any defects that get in the way yet, and this continues to make me a loyal customer.
I have used many other imaging software in the past including adobe products and I still find this one to be the best hands down. The way I use the software is different than most, I do a lot of screen captures and change the images (I design software), then past them into Word or PowerPoint.

Summary: Excellent Photo and Video Editing Package
Comment: This is an excellent package for editing both video and digital photos. I purchased it because of the HD capabilities in the video software and haven't been disappointed. My first experience with video editing was with the reduced Corel version that came with my Canon video camera. This video software is a big improvement. I've used Adobe products for digital editing for many years. The Corel photo editing capabilities are as good and the price is very competitive.
All in all, this is an excellent product. I can recommend it to anyone with a moderate degree of familiarity with photo editing.

Comment: I personally use Photoshop CS. My wife wanted an easier program to use, and call her own. So I bought her this. So far I have not heard complaints from her. So I really can't help to much with this.... sorry. But I do know the price was right.
