Summary: Great color and picture
Comment: I upgraded from the 2000 series and i'm happy I did, I like the feel of this better, also the silver color is nice and the new look is cool. The actual picture is a very big step up, it's like having a portable hd tv almost it's so nice. The picture color was the first thing I noticed, the reds stood out it hit me like a ton of bricks, the darks are DARK! the lights are LIGHT! If you just buy the psp to watch movies you will get your monies worth with the 3000.
There have been talk of the lines in the picture due to the higher refresh rate but I couldn't even see them, then I put it up close to my face and could barely see tiny lines, it makes no difference at all, and you will never notice them unless you actualy try.... hard. I think it is a fantastic purchase, like I said if you need a portable movie player, the picture on this is unbeatable... the iphone or anything can't even touch this. But lets not forget about the games, they are bigger and better in my opinion because of the umd disc that allows for larger games, I reccomend patapon, god of war, crisis core, jean d'arc, ratchet and clank .... This is a good purchase and would make an excellent gift for anyone who loves games or gadgets.

Summary: B-day present to myself
Comment: When the God of War bundle first came out I've been wanting to get my first PSP. Then, over the summer I heard Sony was releasing a new Ratchet & Clank 3000 bundle, so I bided my time... I'm so glad I waited! I bought it for my birthday recently. I've had no problems getting on to the inter-web, but it's a little clunky navigating for sure. The game is fun, I don't see the scan line problems that has been pointed out... Anyway, if you're like me & considering getting your first PSP; do it.

Comment: the psp 3000 is great dont listen to negative reviews i have the original 1000 model and now the 3000, and no you don't see (Scanlines or anything of that nature), and yes i have played games that have fast moving objects/visuals(Mortal Kombat, Tekken, Street Figter, Crazy Taxi, ect) , and all you see is brighter colors and feel tighter controls. I am a gamer, not an average person who wouldn't know any better, upgrade your unit or wrap it up for someone on christmas time you wont regret it,! So in closings brighter colors, tighter controls and smaller on the hands = great handheld enjoy!

Summary: Wi-Fi Error
Comment: As soon as I received the PSP I opened it and got busy. The first thing I checked was the internet connectivity. There appears to be something wrong with the Wi-Fi - Connection Error 80410A0B - it won't connect at all and no activity light comes on indicating it's even trying. I've searched google and discovered many have this issue - I wonder why it hasn't been brought up in these reviews? Amazon already has a new one coming, can't help but think it'll be the same but crossing my fingers. Otherwise everything else seems to be fine, Ratchet and Clank, Size Matters is ok - as written by some the camera angles are a pain. I'll be happy when I get my new system and a new game or two - in my short experience the graphics are phenomenal and the sound is plenty loud.

Comment: Under a magnifying lens I see scan lines. Compare 2000 to 3000 no question 3000 is the way to go. There are plenty of games. Going online
to download games is great. Chuckle heads will sit with a microscope and
gasp at the scan lines. I say shut up and play.
