Spotlight customer reviews: Customer Rating: Summary: sweatin' with the oldies Comment: I am generally happy with this headset adapter for my Sony Ericsson w760 phone/walkman. I have hooked up my earbuds to my phone through this adaptor, and am able to listen to music while walking around the block for exercise. My only complaint is that my headphone plug does not fit really well into this adaptor and sometimes comes loose. I have had to force it in really hard to make it stay. Customer Rating: Summary: Cant say it doesn't work.... Comment: The item works and it represents exactly what the picture shows, but for a $0.01 item you cant ask for high quality. Mine came with a couple of damaged pins but i managed to make it work. At the end i can say that at least i am saving money by not using the phone's headset. Customer Rating: Summary: Proprietary attachments Comment: One of the biggest problems with cell phones is that all of them use proprietary attachments, meaning you cannot mix and match. I have a Sony Ericcson 580i cell phone/Walkman that came with ear buds and a rectangular jack to attach to the phone. However, I wanted to use headphones instead of buds. It took a search, but I found this adapter and with the 3.5mm female jack, I could insert my 3.5mm male jack from my headphones directly to the cell phone. The sound is great. This only set me back about $3.00 which is better than Radio Shacks prices. It still annoys the hell out of me that every piece of electronic device I have needs it own styled jack or plug, but at least this works. Customer Rating: Summary: Works as advertised Comment: I bought this adapter for my sony ericsson w350a phone. I haven't had any problems with it (ive had it for two weeks) and I recommend it if you need a cheap headphone adapter. There's a little static if you bend the cord, but its not a problem when im walking or listening at home. Slightly bulky and hard to put in the phone, but is otherwise a great product. Customer Rating: Summary: Not Universal Comment: My fault - I thought that this adapter would fit my new C905a cellphone, and was not included in the listing of acceptable phones because of the cell's newness. This adapter does not fit the C905a. On the other hand - besides having an unusual plug why doesn't Sony-Ericsson standardize? Why complicate design, stocking and production. YIKES. It might be bright for someone to make an adapter for headsets too, although most of us will use a Bluetooth headset, not a wired one. FWIW - per my previous comments, the C905a is seriously harmed by the poor (grade F-) manual. And AT&T's wanting $0.20 for a text message that costs them almost zero to transmit? The New AT&T is not going far with that attitude - and pricing. LOL let's vote for the OLD wonderful AT&T!
