Summary: Not for everyone
Comment: The unit is very easy to use and is extremely small and light weight. The unit I received was defective and had to be returned as the picture would flicker, however for what I was able to tell about the picture quality, it is just not there. The primary use would have been to have something so portable to connect to my iPhone and even with the focus adjustments, the picture quality was just okay. Too dark and hard to see unless the room is extremely dark. I would have probably keep the unit and tried it out some more in different settings had mine not had the issues it had.
Set some realistic expectations with yourself on how this will perform. The price at Amazon is amazing at over 33% under MSRP and for the right use (traveling business professional for instance) that is just doing presentations, this would probably be just fine.

Summary: Not what I needed, but Amazon to the rescue!
Comment: The Projector is as advertised, very compact, weighs 4 oz. However, anyone considering this unit should be aware that there is NO support for a VGA output! The ONLY video output for this unit is a RCA type plug. Since I needed it for a presentation using the VGA output on my computer, it was useless to me. I e-mailed Amazon, received a RA number, and Amazon set up a pickup at the motel by an overnight shipping service.
Amazon paid for the return freight, and credited the entire purchase price, including freight, back to my card.
Thanks Amazon! I am a completely satisfied customer, and will be back for many more purchases in the future!

Summary: BEWARE! PROBLEM WITH IPOD NANO CHROMATIC
Comment: The dongle that gets attached to the bottom of your Ipod for video output blocks the audio out on 4G nano due to form factor. What a shame! I am returning mine just because of that. The onboard .5W speaker is completely useless even in a perfectly quiet room. I tested it in my office at night with no ambient noise whatsoever, and I could not even make out one single word from just 10 feet away on my couch! Think blackberry speaker running at 30% strength.
The video quality is truly quite decent for a 4oz device. My original plan is to bring this for my next group backpacking trip, where I will surprise my friends with some cheesy 80s' vampire/hiking horror movie with the screen being my white tarp stretched out in place by my hiking poles.
Comes with 2 batteries, rated at 1100Amh each, so I purchased a super lightweight battery booster at 5000Amh rating thinking I will be about to play a full featured movie without having to switch battery - No Joy - I could NOT get the device to play while plugged in (charging) at the same time. This I believe is the biggest design flaw.
Great product, but I will wait for the next version instead.

Comment: The Optoma EP-PK-101 Picp Projector is my companion for all my trips. specially when the hotels have those old small tv's and you can't choose much what to watch. I carry all my movies on my Windows Mobile phone and my portable speakers and that's my whole portable entertainment system.
