Summary: Contents are great, but I don't know about the delivery..
Comment: If you enjoy watching Food Network shows, you will love this magazine.
You will find not only the great recipes from Food Network but also some interesting things such as backstage story, chef surveys and etc. Almost every recipes come with beautiful pictures. I am also a huge fan of their 'almost famous..' recipes(basically copycat of famous restaurant recipes, they are very very close to the original). The only complain about this magaizne is, the delivery is not very good.
All of other magazines that I am subscribing (e.g. MSL, Everyday Food, Everyday with RR, Taste of Home...) arrive in before or at least on the same date they come out on magazine stands.
This one is ALWAYS late from several days to about a week, and finally, last month's issue never arrived. Yes, I understand that sometimes the mails could get lost, but when every issues run late like this, I can't help but question it. So, if you think the advantage of subsribing is an early delivery, that is not true for this magazine..

Summary: Best Food Magazine
Comment: Yes, I am a Foodnetwork fan, but I am also an avid magzine reader/subscriber. This magazine has a set up like no other food/cooking related magazine out there. The contents in the front list all the recipes by catergory WITH their pictures. The recipes are great and versatile, the pictures are wonderful. Cooking tips from some of out favorite chefs and just a joy to read and cook with. I absolutely love it.

Summary: Cheaper Than Cookbooks
Comment: I'm a huge fan of Food Network, but I will try to keep this review unbiased. I've gotten three issues of this magazine so far and I have to say that I'm very impressed.

Pros:
There are tips on how to sharpen your skills and technique.
Rather thick issues with a many pictures (I'm sure you'll agree that pictures are very important in cookbooks).
Very detailed descriptions in the recipes.
Produce and meals of the season are always featured.
High diversity of cuisines.
Table of Contents has every dish that's featured in the magazine as well as anything done by your favorite chefs in another section.
Pages are clearly marked at the top and well organized into sections such as "Weekend Cooking," "Weekday Cooking," "Fun Cooking," etc.
Filled with good ideas about how to make the same dish several times with minor changes that make it a completely different dish.
Drinks are not left out.

Cons:
Some of the ingredients used in some of the dishes are very exotic and hard to come by in certain locations. I live in the Midwest and find it very difficult to obtain prawns, fresh oysters, or any seafood without having to pay a ridiculous price. This is mitigated by the fact that there are few recipes which call for such ingredients and there are plenty of alternatives mentioned.
There are only 10 issues per year and not 12.

Bottom line:
This is a great magazine, especially at the price Amazon offers it. If you really want to make an effort to improve your cooking skills, this is the magazine for you.
