History rocked and rock made history during a sold-out three-gig stand at Madison Square Garden in late February 2008 when icons Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood performed a concert together for the first time since their all-too-brief days in the legendary Blind Faith in 1969. Whether they will ever team again is unknown. But with Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood Live From Madison Square Garden, fans everywhere are able to experience the sound and the glory of a performance on that famous stage by two of rock's greatest artists. The second disc of this 2 DVD edition features 'The Road to Madison Square Garden', an exclusive documentary featuring new interviews with Eric and Steve, together with rare footage and photographs of Cream, Traffic and Blind Faith, plus, 'Rambling On My Mind', The final preparation for the three legendary performances highlighted by an acoustic soundcheck performance by Eric of the Robert Johnson standard 'Rambling On My Mind', plus bonus Madison Square Garden performances of 'Low Down,' 'Kind Hearted Woman' and 'Crossroads.'

Customer Rating: Summary: Clapton at his best Comment: If you are a Clapton fan you need this DVD it is the best Ive ever seen Clapton play. The whole concert is fantastic, it is a must have.
Customer Rating: Summary: Excelent Performance Of Two Big Live Legends. Comment: Being a long time Clapton and Traffic fan, both artists separated and of course, together with Blind Faith, i must say that my expectations where high. This, regarding the quality, the song list, the performance, even the session musicians. I can say that this DVD is a must have because you will hear Clapton's hits, sung by Clapton and Stevie, also Traffic hits, sung by Stevie, joined by Clapton and of course, the Blind Faith songs.
I loved the compilation and the songs they chose. Also, a brief introduction to some songs where precise and correct, with respect to Buddy Guy's passing away.
The video quality is amazingly good, you can see Eric's sweat or the imperfections in the keyboard players sweater. I did not listen the audio with DTS or something like that, but with Stereo is superb, no need to lower or higher basses and trebles. Precise.
Regarding the performance, excellent, Eric's solos are always enjoyable and Stevie's keyboarding is still sweet.
I can assure you won't get disappointed in buying this DVD, because it has everything.
Customer Rating: Summary: Clapton is GOD Comment: Am watching this on Blu Ray, and am very impressed. Video and sound are excellent.
Only question, is why does Clapton feel he has ruin all his DVD's with his inane
chatter between songs?? I bought this to watch the concert, not to listen to him
yak. Put that stuff on the extras. Also bought the special early release that
had DVd & C.D.'s, so at least I can hear the concert without interruptions.
Been a E.C, fan for, seems forever, and this is probably his best. Please Eric
from now on, quit the yakking between songs, and let us just watch show. Get it
anyway. You can't go wrong. Just wish it had been released on Blu ray originally,
so I would'nt have to buy it twice. Good marketing ploy. Oh well, still cheaper
than a ticket.
Customer Rating: Summary: Eric & Steve have great synergy Comment: Excelent concert both in content and picture quality. The audio was also pretty good even though it was just your basic DTS.
Customer Rating: Summary: Grand performance of the two great masters Comment: I have been a fan of Clapton's for decades now and recently of Steve Winwood since I saw The Crossroads Guitar Festival 2007. Clapton and Winwood make a fantastic comibination on stage and of course the list of songs is very good. Both are remarkable guitar players, of course Eric Clapton is the best. Winwood is also great playing the piano and keyboards.
This concert is worth watching several times and I, as an amateur guitar player have seen it over 6 times now.
