Spotlight customer reviews: Customer Rating: Summary: Ok, but not great Comment: I researched as many docks as I could find for my new iphone. My requirements were fairly simple: Something that would look nice on the nightstand, didn't require me to take the iphone out of the case, and would hold up over time. So far it is holding up and I don't have to take the iphone out of the case. However, even though I knew it was plastic, it still looks kind of cheap for the price. Overall a minor complaint. What surprised me though was that it did not come with its own cord. Yes, I could buy one, but for $40, throw in a cord. And if you really want happy customers, make it a 6' cord. Makes me wonder if the cheaper aluminum dock ($30) by Konnet is better... Customer Rating: Summary: Exactly what I was looking for! Comment: It's real basic, but i love it because: 1) it works without taking it out of the #!@$#!$ case 2) it has a headphone out in the back you can use to permanently hook to speakers, or the one on the iphone is also still accessable 3) The iPhone cable plugs into the back. The part you dock onto is an extension, and built into the unit. I've read some of the cheaper ones basically require to hold the thing in place everytime to do, but this one works like it should. 4) It's also pretty Customer Rating: Summary: Does not work with iPhone 3GS Comment: This device does not work with the iPhone 3GS even though the product title/description claims otherwise. When plugged in, the iPhone 3GS gives the message "Charging is not supported with this accessory". Otherwise the device seems OK. Makes things reall easy when i sync to the PC- i just slap it in and everything works.
