Sound quality seems a little low but that could just be the environments I'm using them in. I don't have a lot of experience with other recorders to know for sure. Customer Rating: Summary: Fair for the price Comment: It is cumbersome to get from the VPN files to mp3 files, much easier from the iPod touch I ended up using with a $10 microphone. Also figuring out where a recording is in the filing system is not always clear unless you noted this elsewhere. However, for the price it is OK. I use it as a back-up to my iPod touch, which has more user-friendly features like titles for recordings and easier Wi-Fi file transfer. Customer Rating: Summary: Not for dictation !!!
