2009 album from the singer, pianist and actor, an album of cover versions of songs requested by his many fans. Like his best-selling Only You of 2004, Your Songs consists of Connick singing familiar songs with a full Jazz big band and string orchestra, and, as with nearly all of Harry's previous albums, he wrote each of the orchestrations himself. He also recruited two of his lifelong friends from New Orleans, Branford and Wynton Marsalis, as well as bluegrass guitar virtuoso Bryan Sutton, for guest appearances. 14 tracks including 'Mona Lisa', 'Smile', 'Just The Way You Are' and more.

Customer Rating: Summary: Amazing Harry Comment: I think this CD is amazing because Harry has re-created favorites and made them his own. His voice is mature and mellow on this CD and I think it's one of his very best. I usually listen to opera and this CD compares to some of my favorite arias. Harry really is a major talent---and his extraordinary talent keeps expanding and growing.

Customer Rating: Summary: I Love Harry...but this one not so much Comment: I love Harry Connick Jr and his music. I was so excited when I saw this album released. It's an ok cd, but not Harry's best. Not sure if it was because of the production or song choices or what....I'll keep this cd in my collection for now, but if I had a do-over on purchasing this cd, I wouldn't. Sorry HCJr....I still love ya, but better luck next time.
Customer Rating: Summary: Very sad indeed Comment: Lots of people on this message board have said this reminds them of a cheesy lounge singer but don't really explain why. Yes, Harry's voice is incredible and he is not at fault here, but the arrangements and music, which are corny and lounge-like, are the problem.
The Beatles? After he trashes them? I'm a huge fan of both, but his version of "And I Love Her" doesn't ring true at all, it almost sounds like he hates singing it and you can tell.
I love this type of music, I love HC Jr. but this CD is a total bust.
Customer Rating: Summary: Harry Connick Comment: This is an excellent CD. I love the songs and the way they were sung. Harry Connick does a fine job once again that is pleasant to my ears.It is worth a rating of at least a 4.7 out of 5. He is so smooth.
Customer Rating: Summary: Fans--Buy the CD w/ Bonus Tracks. . .Harry--No More Collaborations, Please Comment: There are plenty of other reviews already out there, but here are my short-n-sweet two cents. If you can, buy the CD with the two bonus tracks. Those tracks, "Who's Sorry Now" and "Answer Me My Love" are two of my favorites on this sometimes cringe-worthy CD. I LOVE (and I mean LOVE) Harry and have been a fan even before the "When Harry Met Sally" days, but this is not his best work. It's just my opinion, but I'm blaming Clive Davis. I admire Harry for following through with his agreement to work with Clive (per Clive's request), but I hope Harry politely declines any future offers to have someone else produce his music.
