Summary: Does what it says it will do but...
Comment: If what you're looking for is simply extended battery life, then this will do it for you. However 2 things...1) The quality of the battery cover is perfectly in line with the quality of the phone itself - awful. It is not a hard plastic so it flexes and it does not fit snugly over the battery. 2) This extended battery kit makes the phone so clunky, it's not even worth it. It's actually kind of a joke. I returned it as soon as I opened it. So now I just have it charging at work all day so I can use it at night while I'm out. And while I'm at it, the Palm Pre is a joke as well...the OS is garbage (lacks features, unresponsive, full of bugs) and they cut corners in almost every way in the hardware department. Clearly Palm needed to puke a phone so they're stock wouldn't trade on the pink sheets. What a disappointment.

Comment: If I could give this item a half star I would. I was so happy to buy my palm pre. Then, it did so many things but did not have enough battery to do anything with it all. I bought the extended battery and when I got it and put it in the phone...my phone didn't recognize it. So I sent it back for a replacement. The same thing happened. Long story short....I sent the second one back, took back the palm pre and now I have a Samsung Moment...AND I LOVE IT!

Summary: Excellent Battery Life Extension
Comment: The battery life extension that this product provides is unbelievable. On average, when using this battery, it will run for 24+ hours without running into the red. I would highly recommend it for your travels.
It is certainly bulky. It makes the phone about 3 times larger. This can be seen as a positive for those with larger hands. However, when I slipped my Palm battery and cover back on after about a week of use, I began to remember how nicely the original battery and cover fit in my hand. But I was back to less than 14 hours of battery life.
Overall, I really do recommend this product. Whenever I take long weekend trips, I am sure to pop this guy on. It takes all the hassle out of trying to find a place to plug in. Not having to worry about battery life can really enhance the value of this phone when you are on the go.
I think this is a must buy for all Palm Pre users.

Summary: This battery completes this phone
Comment: I've read the many comments from others about this battery and I have to say, this battery completes the Palm Pre. Palm should have put this battery in the phone from the get-go. But they wanted to smooth compact look instead of a phone that actually works better than the one with the weak little battery it comes with. But the Seidio Innocell with the new back is very capable of running every possible function on the Pre and more. It last twice if not more than the original battery. Its a little bigger than before but I like the feel it has now in the palm of my hands. I use my phone a lot (especially with all the new apps coming out) and I can go two if not three days not charging it. You got to have this battery for your Pre.

Summary: much improved over standard battery
Comment: Although this adds depth to the Palm Pre, its a vast improvement in battery life over the standard issue battery that comes with this device. Be warned about the depth, sat next to my BB Curve also issued by Sprint via my company, the Pre is thicker with this battery and back cover. However, the extra charge is so far amazing. Its dropped barely a percent or two with basic usage all day, whereas similar usage would have me at 50-60% left at the same time of day.
Using the Pre with the standard battery would ensure a charge over night and would leave me being careful not to over use it, for fear of running out of power. Not so based on early tests with this battery. Should be good in to a second day if necessary.
Grip is actually improved as the case is thicker and not slick like the original Palm one. This is a good thing, and I think as I use it more, it will continue to improve the typing experience.
This is a great addition, and the price from Amazon is awesome. BTW - no normal cases and covers will work with this, so be warned.....
