Customer Rating: Summary: Horrible Comment: This DVD is a terrible workout video. It did not bring up my heart rate at all, in fact walking up one flight of stairs is more difficult than this entier DVD. All of the moves are done at an extremely slow pace, and even when you do the dance at the cheerleaders pace it still was not a cardio-like workout. I purchased this because I thought it would be fun and slightly challenging, which was not the case. The DVD only includes one dance that takes less than a minute perform. In the bonus features, they have an ab workout which also is way too easy. There is no way the DCC cheerleaders do this workout to get fit!
Customer Rating: Summary: I expected more... Comment: I associate the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders with dynamic, fun dance routines, so I expected more from this workout. However, it's really just a lot of walking in place, on your tiptoes and stepping side-to-side. I think it was made REALLY tedious by the fact that you repeated these moves as if they were really complicated. I guess they wanted to make the routines accessible to the masses, but it does not provide enough challenge for an adequate workout. My heartrate barely elevated, if at all. This routine would get boring very quickly, as there is no room to grow. Even the most rhythm challenged individual would be able to pick up the steps the first time they tried the DVD.
One of the few positives is that the dancers leading the workout have vibrant personalities, but it is not enough to sell me on this workout.
The DVD is 36 minutes long, and the dance routine is divided into 4-5 min sections led by the different cheerleaders. The music in the routine is a very nondescript, and the moves don't coincide with the beat at all. If they decide to make another dance workout DVD, I would recommend that they include more complicated dance moves and better music. I just cannot recommend this very boring DVD. If you are looking a fabulous dance workout DVD, try Dance off the Inches:Hip Hop Party or Lindsay Brin's Dance Jam (which is also by NFL cheerleaders, but includes much better dance moves).
Customer Rating: Summary: Fun workout! Comment: The Calorie Blasting Dance was so much fun. I was a cheerleader in high school and forgot how much of a workout it was. The cheerleaders teach the dance at a good pace for the viewers to catch on and then they put it all together at the end. There is also a great ab workout in the bonus features section of the DVD. Overall I thought this was a really fun way to get a great workout!
Customer Rating: Summary: Booty bustin' dance moves! Comment: My girl knows I love the CHeerleaders so she's has been practicing these moves and lovin them. The "sexy walk" - woww. She's having fun and getting exercise which is awesome all around.
Customer Rating: Summary: Calorie Blastting Dance...really?! Comment: When I saw that the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders had Calorie Blasting Dance video I was thrilled. I'm your averaged sized 27 year old woman who works out about 4-5 days a week and I love a good dance exercise video. I was seriously disappointed. After 15 minutes I turned it off. I hadn't even broken a sweat...and I break a sweat caring laundry up and down my stairs at home. I probably burned more calories getting ready to workout. It was THAT bad. The "dance" moves are not physically challenging. The cheerleaders are annoying. I'm sorry to say it, but I wouldn't recommend this video.
