Customer Rating: Summary: Parallels Desktop Switch to Mac Comment: Summary - Parallels 5.0 is great; Switch to Mac transporter and cable - complete waste of money since it does not work.
I purchased Parallels desktop switch to mac edition and paid the extra $40 over the Parallels desktop 5.0 version so that I could move my PC data and programs easily to Mac.
Parallels installed great. But even after 5 tries over 3 days, the PC programs and data did not transfer to Mac. First 4 tries, parallels transporter program said it was working but it was hanging (i let it run for 12+ hours just to make sure). On the last try, it said the transfer was successful but I was never able to open XP or data.
Finally I ended up loading and creating a new Windows 7 virtual machine and transferred all my data using an external hard drive.
