2009 debut album from the American Idol finalist. Allison Iraheta is a gutsy, original, incredible stand out voice; and at only 17 years old has many hits in front of her. The daughter of Salvadoran immigrants, she is the youngest contestant ever to place in the Top 12 on American Idol and the fourth place finisher on AI's eighth season. Often described as 'Kelly Clarkson meets Janis Joplin' and compared to both P!nk and Avril Lavigne, Allison is ready to make her own mark with her debut album which features production from some of the biggest and best in Pop and Rock hit making including Max Martin, Kevin Rudolf and Howard Benson.

Summary: Eh. Why must everything be marketed to the "tweens"?
Comment: I was looking forward to this album very much. I loved alison's raspy voice and amazing range on Idol. The cd is eh at best. Tracks #1-5 are awful and too kiddie and poppy. Shes a rocker and should be marketed that way. She kicks butt if you let her. The Cd picks up with #6, 8, 9, 12. So the latter part of the album is better than the beginning. The tracks I indicated rock out and thats when she is at her best. Maybe the next cd will be better. Disappointing. (but way better than Gokeys.)

Summary: Allison is for AWESOM!!!!
Comment: This CD is a must have for any Kelly Clarkson or Pink fans. I did not like Allison on Idol at all. But, I knew that she could sing like Pink and I was hoping that would be the direction they would move her to. I must say the best song on the cd is TROUBLE IS that song is completely one in a million!!! I would give the cd an eleven but it is only 1 to 10!!!! Congratulations, Allison and good luck in the future best IDOL debut EVER!!!!!

Summary: Channeling A Funky New Joplin Groove!
Comment: This little girl with the big voice is awesome. I am a fifty plus diehard Lambert fan who has been listening to both Iraheta and Kris Allen lately with amazing results. The kid is talented-she must have an old soul! Teen daughter and I both love Lambert, Allen and Iraheta madly. Don't miss the music from these talented young people. American Idol Season 8 definitely got it right!

Summary: Catchy songs, powerful singing, tons of fun
Comment: Allison Iraheta's debut is full of catchy tunes that run the gamut, and her voice pulls it all together, from her amazing low tones to her arcs at the upper end. I was immediately grabbed by the album, and I have been listening to it twice a day since buying it. Allison's voice soars, roars, and scores throughout. The range exhibited on "Pieces" is amazing, and "Scars" is sensitive and memorable. An immediate and definite favorite. Nicely done!

Comment: This is by far the strongest debut of season 8. Every song is incredibly well written and well sung. Allison is a genius. No one should be rating this album less than four stars. Honestly.
